LC Africa Expedites Uganda Pipeline Project with Sustainable Solutions

LC Africa is proud to announce its contribution to the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project in Uganda, a collaboration signifying a pivotal advancement towards unlocking Uganda’s valuable oil resources while prioritizing responsible environmental practices.

The East African Crude Oil Pipeline Project (EACOP) is a pipeline designed to transport oil produced from Uganda’s Lake Albert oilfields to the port of Tanga in Tanzania, ultimately facilitating its sale to world markets.

Delivering a Remote Camp Solution in 21 Days

Responding to the project’s needs for a remote camp solution, LC Africa delivered 15 modified container units within a remarkable 21-day turnaround time. Our expertise in repurposing shipping containers ensured a sustainable and functional living environment for the pipeline workforce.

The 15 container units provided a variety of essential amenities for the camp, including:

  • Accommodation: Nine 40ft containers were meticulously converted into comfortable living quarters for the project personnel.
  • Food Service: Six 40ft containers were transformed into fully equipped kitchens and spacious dining areas, ensuring the well-being of the workforce.

The modification process for the container units for the Uganda pipeline camp took place at our Nairobi facility. Afterward, the container units were transported to the Uganda camp site, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline. Upon arrival, the units were seamlessly integrated to create a cohesive and functional living environment.

Sustainable Solutions Supporting Uganda’s Growth

By prioritizing repurposed shipping containers, LC Africa promotes a sustainable approach to infrastructure development. This aligns perfectly with Uganda’s commitment to responsible resource management.

LC Africa is proud to have partnered with esteemed organizations like Total Energies, Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC), Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC), and CNOOC. Together, we demonstrated a commitment to building a brighter future for Africa, fostering economic development while upholding a sustainable approach to infrastructure development.
