A Better World
Food and water security is an urgent global issue. The reasons behind food insecurity are numerous, complex and multifaceted. LC Africa works with both private and government sectors to improve reliability on production, agricultural impact on the environment, water scarcity, changing consumption trends, and price volatility.
Environmental Conservation
Using solar-powered equipment will eliminate about 50,000 liters of fossil fuel per year, equal to 118 Metric Tons of CO2, the equivalent of 1,950 trees planted for 10 years or the emissions from 25 vehicles in a year*.
Cut Green House Gas Emission
Implementation of our pilot will reduce produce rotting by 57% which would eliminate an additional 600 metric Tons a year of CO2*
Job Creation
Jobs created by the pilot: 10 direct; 30 indirect. This will go to 900 directly; and as many as 3 times in-direct at scale (5 years)
